Little Tokyo Brunch

We went to this place with the intent to eat, and eat we did! The Lazy Ox Canteen is a fabulous little place in downtown's Little Tokyo district with huge flavor. Chef Josef Canteno draws on inspiration from modern and traditional French, Mexican, Japanese and Catalan cuisines. I've been there for dinner (I'll post about that soon) and for brunch. This brunch was out of this world. HIGHLY RECOMMENDED!
1. coffee 2. buttermilk biscuit with butter & strawberry jam 3. blueberry muffin with creme fraiche 4. procuitto sandwich 5. “migas” scrambled eggs with manchego cheese, chorizo & tortilla chips 6. pig ears (compliments of the chef) 7. braised beef paleron (pot roast) 8. lazy ox burger with carmody cheese

  1. Los Angeles has a lot of delicious food! When you come to Brazil, you have to taste the famous rice and beans. It is a dish filled with nutrients and very tasty!
